About India’s history

India was under British Raj(rule) from 1858 to 1947. For many years, India strive for it’s independence. It achieved independence through non-violence which was the idea of the great Mahatma Gandhi who is known worldwide for his non-violent act idea.

Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism and Christianity are the religions followed in India. India’s standard of living is rising at a great pace. India is developing very fast. It is usually compared to China in terms of economic growth and development. India is largest democracy country in the world.
